Ispahiu is a co-founder of KALLXO.com and Executive Producer of TV Programs Kallxo Pernime that airs on TV Dukagjini. He has experience in developing, directing and staging over 550 public debates with CSO activists, government officials and the international community in Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia and Albania. He has trained judges, prosecutors and other public servants in public speaking. He also trains journalists in media production. He has a BA and MA in Directing from the Faculty of Arts in University of Prishtina.

She has a masters in War Studies from King’s College London and MA in Screenwriting from London College of Communication.

Gashi is a trainer on topics of violent extremism, far right, media law and member of Kosovo Press Council. He graduated in Law in University of Prishtina.

BIRN, the regional organization Xharra co-founded, has its hub in Sarajevo. The head of the board of BIRN Hub is Tim Judah, the Balkans correspondent of The Economist. BIRN Kosovo’s biggest donor is the European Union in Kosovo. Xharra suffered a campaign of vilification and threats in 2009 from Kosovo newspaper ‘Infopress’, whose leading staff were then unsuccessfully prosecuted by the EULEX mission. Is a non-governmental Organization founded in 1999. Primary objective of Internews Kosova is to support the civil society and development of independent and professional media in Kosovo. Since 2005, Internews Kosova cooperates with the Balkans Investigative Reporting Network in the production of television programmes “Life in Kosovo” and “Justice in Kosovo” which have a very high rating. Thus far, Internews Kosova has successfully organized a series of training in journalism, media management, radio techniques, computer skills, use of Internet, and provides continuous advice for a large number of Kosovo radio stations. Our participants include students of the University of Prishtina, media professionals and beginners.

Is an independent, non-governmental organization, whose goals are providing information to the citizens and contributing to the democratic transition process in the country, promoting accountability, rule of law and policy reform. BIRN Kosovo’s approach is to combine its projects with those of the regional BIRN Network with a view to the long-term sustainability of results and institutions. BIRN Kosovo in particular aims to serve as a watchdog of public institutions, monitoring the work of governing and public institutions and supporting their reform and their path towards meeting the criteria and standards of the European Union. In addition, through the production of quality and impartial TV debates and training of youth on argumentation and debating skills, BIRN aims to promote and encourage a culture of debate in Kosovo. BIRN’s vision is to secure its position as the premier Kosovo investigative and analytical journalism organization, addressing the need for objective, quality, sustainable reporting on the country’s many challenges in the arena of politics, economics and EU integration.
