Radio Gjakova
Radio Gjakova is the oldest radio station in Gjakova, having operated for 44 years. It was founded in 1979 by the Municipal Assembly of Gjakova as a local radio station. From 1991 to 1999, during the regime of Slobodan Milosevic, it did not broadcast programs in the Albanian language.
Currently, the radio operates within the NGO Gjakova, established in 2001 by Zeki Vehapi, Shpresa Qarkaxhija, and Skender Gola, who is also the director of the radio and the NGO. Radio Gjakova airs programs for children and youth, offering a mix of entertainment and informative content.
The radio is known for organizing the "Radio Fest" festival, which has had 14 editions. During this festival, radio stations compete with their audio creativity in categories such as reportage, radio report, and public spot.

Founded Radio Gjakova in 1979. The radio operated until 1991 when broadcasting in the Albanian language was forcibly banned by Serbian forces during the regime of Slobodan Milosevic. After the end of the war in Kosovo on June 14, 1999, Radio Gjakova resumed its operations. Since the establishment of the NGO Gjakova in 2004, Radio Gjakova has been operating within it. The founders of NGO Gjakova are Skender Gola, Zeki Vehapi, and Shpresa Qarkaxhija.

Initially, he was the producer of the program and later continued as an announcer and moderator. With the establishment of the NGO, he assumed the position of radio director, which he still holds. Upon forceful termination of employment by Slobodan Milosevic's regime during the '90s, since 1999, Gola was an activist (neighborhood representative) of the LDK branch, at the humanitarian “Nënë Tereza” organization - branch in Gjakova as well as partaking in the implementation of various projects in the fields of culture and entertainment. Since 1999, upon his return to Radio Gjakova, he was not involved with any political parties.
