Radio Dukagjini
Radio Dukagjini was initially established as a local radio with a frequency in Peja, a city in Kosovo, in 1999. Subsequently, it acquired a national frequency, and on June 11, 2001,
Radio Dukagjini inaugurated a studio in Prishtina. Since then, the radio has been operating with two studios, one in Peja and the other in Prishtina, with some shows being broadcast from both locations.
Radio Dukagjini is a part of the company "Radio Televizioni Dukagjini," which also oversees Dukagjini Television and the online portal.
The founders of Radio Dukagjin are brothers Ekrem Lluka and Agim Lluka, both of whom are well-known Kosovar businessmen. Agim Lluka, the initiator of Dukagjini radio's establishment, passed away in October 2021. Prior to his passing, Ekrem Lluka and Agim Lluka each held 50% of the shares in Dukagjini Radio Television.
Presently, "Dukagjini Ltd" owns 80% of the shares, while Ermal Panduri, Edita Doli Muhaxhiri, and Dardan Belegu hold 10%, 5%, and 5%, respectively. Ermal Panduri
Ermal Panduri serves as the director of Dukagjini Television and holds a 10% share in the RTV Dukagjini business. Panduri pursued studies in acting at the Faculty of Arts and Journalism in the Netherlands, and previously worked as an actor at the Dodona Theater from 2005 to 2007.
Joining Radio Dukagjin in 2006, Panduri initially worked as a journalist covering political developments in the country. From 2018 to December 2021, he held the position of executive director at RTV Dukagjini. However, in 2021, he announced his resignation from the executive director role, choosing to continue solely as a shareholder of the television and moderator of his political show "Debat Plus." His successor, Dardan Belegu, took over the executive director position while Panduri resumed the management of Dukagjini Television.
