Ilir Tafa, a well-known actor and businessman in Kosovo, holds shares in diverse sectors such as education, healthcare, construction, insurance, and banking. He is the co-founder of Media Invest LLC, which oversees Kosovo news outlets in television (ATV), radio (A-Radio), and online (atvlive.tv).
Media Invest is under the ownership of "Edu Invest LLC," where Ilir Tafa owns a majority 51% of the shares, with his brothers also holding shares: Lulzim Tafa (25%) and Bujar Tafa (24%).
"Edu Invest LLC" not only holds shares in television but also owns AAB College, the largest private higher education institution in Kosovo. The college boasts notable faculty members, including former ministers and deputies from various Kosovo governments. One of the other subsidiaries of Edu Invest is the “British School of Kosova LLC”, which operates in pre-primary, primary, and secondary education services.
However, Model Slovenia is one of the largest companies in the field of construction, with operations in Kosovo, Lipjan and Pristina. Recently, in January 2022, the Tafa brothers established a commercial bank in Kosovo, Pribank JSC. Bujar Tafa, Afrim Tafa and Bajram Tafa also hold shares in four family businesses. Two of the biggest businesses of the Tafa brothers are in the fields of construction and education.
